Location

This destination is in Panay Island. It is 460 kilometers from Manila, 135 kilometers from Iloilo City and 86 kilometers from Kalibo.

Weather

Wet in May-October and dry for the rest of the year. Temperature range = 21°C-30.9°C.  

Brief History

In 1590, the Spanish Navy of Acapulco made Capiz a naval yard because of its favorable anchorage. After 361 years, it became a city.

The yard that it was turned into a trading and shipping center, and eventually a town.  

Some Spanish naval personnel intermarried with the native women. The resulting children became the influential citizens of the place later.

From Manila, reach Roxas City by plane in 45 minutes, or by boat in 18 hours.
